Launch of Pinay Power – Project Venus Series 

It was an exciting and information-filled weekend as JCI Metro Area launched its Pinay Power initiatives last March 11-12. “Project Venus: Purpose, Passion, Prosperity” is a series of campaign that aims to foster positivity, awareness and women empowerment.

Project Venus Summit – Mar 11, 2017

The first initiative, Project Venus Summit, kickstarted last March 11, 2017 at National Engineering Center in UP Diliman, Quezon City and was hosted by JCI Marikina Marikit, JCI Makati Princess Urduja, and JCI San Juan Dambana.
The half-day seminar targets women and youth of all stages looking to reclaim control of their thoughts, actions and the direction of their lives.

Attended by college students from UP, Mariam College, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, Women leaders from different industries and generations shared how they drive meaningful change in their career/businesses, in their personal lives and within the communities around them.

Project Venus: Disaster Response Training for Mothers

The second series – Project Venus: Disaster Response Training for Mothers was held last March 12, 2017 at Barangay Tumana, Marikina City.

The seminar, facilitated by Pres. Joenas Galinato of JCI San Juan Katipuneros, empower Mothers on emergency preparedness during incidents that may impact the life of their family. The mothers were trained in basic response skills such as CPR, basic household first-aid, and family surivival supply.

Using the training learned from the seminar and during exercises, these mothers can now assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

This Disaster Response Training for Mothers was hosted by JCI Marikina Marikit, JCI Makati Princess Urduja, JCI San Juan Dambana, and JCI San Juan Katipuneros.

Metro Area would like to thank and congratulate the hardworking hosts and Area Chairman Chessa Pituk of JCI Marikina Marikit for hosting a successful launch of Pinay Power in Metro Area.
