On April 29, 2017, JCI Metro Area’s 2nd Area Council Meeting hosted by JCI Marilao Marilag was held at Marilao Municipal Hall in Marilao Bulacan.
With the 2017 Metro Area Officers and Presidents present, updates from the offices of the Area Secretary, Area Development Council, Area Executive Director, Area Training Director and Regional Vice Presidents were presented.
Area Chairpersons and Area Project Directors were also given the opportunity to present their plans to the Council. Area Chairman for TOYM Alexander Uy announced the official opening of TOYM Search. AC Charles Ng announced the renewal of partnership between JCI Philippines Advantage and its merchants. JCI Taytay President Philip Jeison Cruz presented the plans for an Epic MAMO which will be held in Assumption College, Antipolo on May 27, 2017, while President Stephanie So of JCI Manileña shared how the 2017 Metro Area Conference will be everyone’s #DreamHoliday. Metro Areacon will be held in Club Morocco Beach Resort and Country Club on September 1-3, 2017.
Simultaneously, the 2nd AVANTE training led by Area Training Director Ran Pilapil was facilitated by three senior trainers and JCI Members. NTC Gleendo Dasmariñas facilitated an interactive training on Team Communication. JCI Manila 2010 President and Founder of Toby’s Arena, RUNNR, and urbanAthletics talked about “Working Like a Champion” by using techniques elite athletes and entrepreneurs use. And lastly, 2016 AVP Bong Quiroga facilitated the JCI official course on Effective Leadership.
Area Vice President Chai Talag congratulates the host LO, President Betcha Austria and JCI Marilao Marilag, for a successful Area Council Meeting. She also wishes to thank all the Presidents for working very hard in ensuring that JCI LOs in Metro Area will create a mark in its communities by extending a service that’s Beyond SELF.
