Dear members of JCI in Metro Area (Area 2),
Warm greetings to each of you and welcome to the Metro Area website.
Let me start by wishing you all a happy new year, as we have crossed the threshold into 2017.
2016 was a year of tremendous progress for Metro Area. I am deeply humbled by everyone’s solemn dedication and commitment to active citizenship through JCI. I sincerely believe that it is an outstanding privilege to be a member of the JCI Movement, and with that privilege is the responsibility to create an impact in our nation through sustainable programs. I congratulate each of the local organizations of Metro Area for having the courage to create positive changes in the cities that we are assigned to serve. Your selfless contributions and accomplishments in 2016 will lead to a greater accomplishment in 2017 and the years to come.
With a great year behind us and a promising new year of Active Citizenship unfolding before us, I join the entire membership of Metro Area in welcoming another opportunity to build a better future and to bring our nation to greater heights. I am excited to see how you will spread the message of JCI and encourage more young people to take responsibility for the local issues, and find targeted, sustainable solutions that will benefit our communities.
May I also take this opportunity to thank the Metro Area Regional Vice Presidents, namely RVP Marjorie Lalaine T. Alvero (Metro Rizal), RVP Raphael Justin C. Paguyo (Metro South), RVP Constantine O. Ignacio (Metro East) and RVP Jaime Jeronimo P. Jose (Metro North), and the rest of the Metro Area officers who are committed to provide support to our Local Organizations. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you for the opportunity to steer the mission of JCI in Area 2.
I am excited to work with everyone and it is my prayer that all of us in Metro Area will take to heart the Values and goals of JCI. May it be our guide to a passionate and meaningful term this 2017 and may we remember to always extend a service that’s BEYOND SELF.
